I waited for what seemed like forever for this sequel.....and it was so worth the wait. In fact, it EXCEEDED my expectations! I found myself reading and pausing so that I could savor every word because I didn't want it to end. Dan is to die for and I had been rooting for him since he was first introduced in Book One. Sophie, at times, frustrated me because she denied her feelings for him.....and he was so swoon worthy. The perfect guy. The book was incredibly well written and immersed the reader into the magical world of Sophie and Dan......COMPLETELY. I couldn't put it down and it was over much too soon. Definitely calls for a reread......or maybe, a continuation of this beguiling story (God, I'd love a Book Four)? Without a doubt, one of my favorite reads of the year! Thank you Nicky Wells....you are the quintessential author of fiction!Product details

I had a real love/hate relationship with rock star and manwhore Dan in the first two books and every time I hoped he would redeem himself, he would go and do something else stupid to mess things up again. Being put into the "friend zone" at the end of book 2 was where he was to stay for a while and with the happy events we were left feeling all was well with the world.
But NOPE, not happening...the first few pages made it very apparent that something catastrophic had happened and we don't really get the whole story until later in the book in flashback moments of the tragedy that Sophie endured. This book is more serious and less light than the first two and we see yet another transformation in Sophie as she slowly learns to fly again and heads in an entirely different (but not completely unexpected) direction with her career...one that puts her immersed in Dan's world and makes for a sweet turnaround in their relationship.
I love how the story comes full circle back to Dan being once again in the forefront of Sophie's life and in a very domestic and fatherly capacity. The man has also grown up and become a better person and together these two live up to their full potential.
The ending was perfect for me...bittersweet and yet somehow SO right. Rachel gets her HEA as well as provides some comedic relief as she experiences motherhood for the first time.
This was a very enjoyable and well written romantic comedy series with a musical background and more intimate than sexually explicit.
Highly recommend to romance readers of all genres...hard enough for rock lovers and sweet enough for contemporary romance lovers.

Be careful what you wish for. Finishing the second book of this series, I was screaming, No, no, no! It was sad to see the turn to get it where I hoped it would go. Fingers crossed for a book 4.
Yay! I loved the conclusion to this series! Sophie is her normal self, though a bit less neurotic and Dan is still our Rock God, just a bit more grown up.
Great story and the perfect end to the series! This is definitely one to pick up.
Nicky Wells has done it again. Sophie's Encore had me completely enthralled once again! I picked it tonight only to read a little bit but turned page after page because couldn't put it down. I love this entire series but with each book I have new favorite. I have loved Dan and Sophie together throughout the entire series and kept hoping they would work out their differences. The chemistry and love between the two were just explosive. I definitely can not wait for Nicky Wells' s New series, I'm sure I'll love it! I highly recommend The Rock Star Romance Series, it is a wonderful series with love lost and found, filled with Romance and heartfelt scenes.
What a fabulous ending to Sophie's story! Nicky Wells is a breathtaking storyteller who really captures the essence of her characters and their lives. This part of story seemed to have matured right along with the characters themselves - taking place several years after the end of the last book. So the romance angle is more heartfelt, sincere, deep and abiding than the original teenaged, star-struck journey of Sophie's Turn.
I don't want to say too much because I feel there's too much to give away by saying what bits I liked and whatnot. But I will say that one of the best tricks in this story is that it was written just as much for someone who had read the first two books in the series as someone who hadn't (or perhaps someone who has a bad memory - like me). Tiny bits here and there served as either gentle reminders or necessary backstory to this wonderful conclusion. So... even if you haven't read books 1 & 2, read this book!
